A variety of lab tests are performed to comply with the N.P.D.E.S. permit issued by the State. The lab is mandated to perform quality control tests yearly to insure accuracy of the tests performed and to insure accuracy of any outside labs that performs tests for the treatment plant. The lab tech monitors the treatment process and makes the necessary plant operating adjustments based on the results of the tests and effluent quality. It is also the responsibility of the lab tech to complete and submit the required discharge monitoring reports and monthly operating report.
